Eleven of climbed Old Snowy two days after some new snow. It made for a much bigger
challenge than I had expected. Also, it was COLD! We started at 7:06 am with the
temperature at 28 degrees F and it did not warm up as we went higher. Luckily the wind
was not as strong as forecast and the sun did warm us somewhat. The views were magnificent.
We took 11 hours so we were back to the cars just before sunset. The GPS
indicated that we travelled 15 miles RT and gained/lost over 3,500 feet elevation.
